Allison Esannason is an African American artist and designer based in New York City. In 2019, she received a B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design. There, Esannason discovered a deep-rooted passion for history, culture, and the opportunity to create accessible education opportunities through art and design. Today, her work centers on creating wearable and two-dimensional artwork, drawing inspiration from the intersectionality of Black culture, politics, gender, and accessible education through fashion, video, photography, and curatorial installation.

Esannason curatorial practice explores the connection between black history and art education, particularly fashion education. Her latest curatorial projects include her "District 28. America is Black Sample Exhibition" at Parsons (2019) and “Lavendar” for Jumpstart Art 2021 Virtual Exhibition.

Esannason currently works in the costume department in Theater, TV, and Film.
